Vision Insurance
Vision plans are designed to provide for regular eye examinations and benefits toward vision care expenses including glasses or contact lenses.
Standard Eye Examination and Glasses
Eye examinations may be covered once every 12 months.
Glasses may be covered once every 12 or 24 months.
Contact Lenses
Elective and medically necessary contact lenses may be provided instead of glasses.
Limitations
Vision plans are designed to cover vision needs rather than cosmetic materials. If any of the following are selected, there may be additional charges:
- blended lenses
- contact lenses
- oversize lenses
- progressive multifocal lenses
- coated or laminated lenses
- frames that exceed plan allowance
- cosmetic lenses
- UV protected lenses
